New Horizons for Regional Integration, Partnership and Cooperation
Academic Course:
"The EU as a Role Model for Economic and Political Regional Integration," is intended to provide students enrolled in KIMEP University with a firm understanding of the EU as a successful model for regional integration, with a comparative view over previous integration efforts in Central Asia and the Post-Soviet space.
Conference:
A two-day event focused on the challenges and prospects for regional integration in Central Asia, particularly in the context of the competing strategies of major powers like the European Union, China, the United States, and Russia. There will be two expert panel discussion sessions and two paper sessions on November 14-15, 2024.
Summer Schools:
The EUCA Model EU Summer School will be held annually in May-June, open to all university and senior high school students in Almaty. The Model EU will feature guest lectures, short assignments, tutorials, and supervised peer learning, culminating in a simulated European Council session for the students to gain hands-on experience with consensus policymaking.

KIMEP University is the oldest and the largest North American-style University in Central Asia. It was founded in 1992 by the decree of Nursultan Nazarbayev, the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
